Projects and work
Set up project quantities and turn measurements into usable takeoffs
Enable the module, record project measurements, and use quantity evidence in estimating or project work. Follow the current customer-facing workflow and verify access, status, and resulting records before continuing.

-
Open the workspace

-
Confirm access and starting state
Module not explicitly disabled; project access; configured units/formulas and source data.
-
Complete the main setup
Review enablement, areas/measurements/units, manual quantities versus document-assisted takeoffs, formulas, validation, estimate handoff, and correction/version expectations.
-
Review the important choices
Do not imply that AI extraction is automatically accepted or that every plan includes the module.
-
Verify the result
Enable the module, record project measurements, and use quantity evidence in estimating or project work.
Expected result: Enable the module, record project measurements, and use quantity evidence in estimating or project work.
Troubleshooting
The page, control, or action is unavailable.
Confirm the required access and starting state: Module not explicitly disabled; project access; configured units/formulas and source data.
The result is incomplete or unexpected.
Module state, project access, unit/formula configuration, source documents, and downstream estimate usage all matter; measurements and monetary line items are different records.
The issue remains after checking the record.
Capture the exact visible error, record status, approximate time, and intended result. Give support only the minimum customer-safe evidence needed to trace the problem.
What happens next
- Enable the module, record project measurements, and use quantity evidence in estimating or project work.
- Review the resulting record, status, notifications, and related history before continuing downstream work.
- Use the related guide when the next action belongs to another JobBuddy workflow.
