JODA
Use your iPhone Action Button to start JODA Talk
Assign the Open JODA Talk control to your iPhone Action Button. After setup, press and hold the button to open JobBuddy directly in JODA Talk and start listening.
Before you begin
- Your iPhone must have an Action Button and run iOS 18 or later so the Controls option is available.
- Install the current JobBuddy app and sign in before searching for its control.
- Allow JobBuddy to use your microphone when prompted so JODA Talk can listen.
- Assigning Open JODA Talk replaces the action currently assigned to the button.
Set it up from inside JobBuddy
On the JODA Talk screen, tap the lightning-bolt button in the top-right corner.
The setup panel shows the same Settings path and can copy Open JODA Talk so it is ready to paste into Search Controls.
Troubleshooting
Open JODA Talk does not appear in Search Controls.
Update JobBuddy from the App Store, open it once, and confirm that you are signed in. Then return to Settings → Action Button → Controls and search again.
JobBuddy opens, but JODA Talk does not listen.
Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and turn on microphone access for JobBuddy. Also confirm that your iPhone has an internet connection.
The Action Button still changes Silent Mode.
Return to Settings → Action Button and confirm that Controls is selected and Open JODA Talk is the chosen control.
Nothing happens after a quick press.
Press and hold the Action Button until your iPhone confirms the assigned action.
