Find who changed a record in company History

  1. Open the workspace

In JobBuddy, go to User Admin → History (#/admin/history).

  2. Confirm access and starting state

Company-admin access; approximate date, actor, and record/event to investigate.

  3. Complete the main setup

Review date grouping, Filter by user, refresh, infinite loading, summary versus Audit Details, and privacy when sharing evidence.

  4. Review the important choices

Review when to use invoice/estimate/payment/approval/Item Type/Form history instead, and that audit data is evidence—not an editable rollback mechanism unless a specific screen explicitly offers rollback.

  5. Verify the result

Locate a company audit event, filter by user, and use its details to investigate a support or process question.

Expected result: Locate a company audit event, filter by user, and use its details to investigate a support or process question.

Troubleshooting

The page, control, or action is unavailable.

Confirm the required access and starting state: Company-admin access; approximate date, actor, and record/event to investigate.

The result is incomplete or unexpected.

The company-wide audit feed, record-specific histories, approval histories, and accounting ledgers serve different purposes; a summary may require Details and older entries load progressively.

The issue remains after checking the record.

Capture the exact visible error, record status, approximate time, and intended result. Give support only the minimum customer-safe evidence needed to trace the problem.
